Nicole Chapman is a Dancer/Choreographer, based in Denver, CO. She began her professional training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2010, continuing with a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Dance from London Contemporary Dance School and a semester abroad at Purchase College. Notable names she has performed for throughout her training include: Shay Kuebler, Sally Marie, Sasha Roubicek, MADboots and Angus Balbernie. Alongside her development as a performer, she worked as Choreographer and Artistic Director for ‘Nicole Chapman Dance Company,’ as well as creating work for youth dance companies in both the UK and USA. Her most recent piece, First Love, has qualified for the UK finals of ‘Stars of the Future’ dance competition, and the Dance World Cup in San Sebastian, Spain.
Jordan Himelrick began her dance training with Encore Dance studio in Aurora, Colorado. Jordan attended competitions and conventions throughout her years there and branched out into teaching and choreographing Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Tap in her high school years. Jordan won high-scoring awards and judge’s awards with group dances, duos, trios, and solos. Her self-choreographed lyrical solos were awarded technique awards as well as a judge’s award for “Pure Inspiration” and her senior solo was the highest scoring dance of the Denver International Dance Challenge competition. A contemporary teen solo she choreographed won the highest scoring teen solo award as well. Jordan also won the NRG High Voltage Tap Scholarship. Jordan continued her training at the University of Wyoming where, as a freshman, she was selected to perform in “Six Songs for Ellis”, by Marsha Knight, which was performed at the University as well as touring throughout the state of Wyoming. Jordan was also selected to perform in works choreographed by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Jesse Obremski, Daniel Charon, the University Faculty as well as Limon Dance Company Repertory and Cat and Fish Dances Company Repertory. She also performed as The Cheshire Cat in the vertical performance “Alice’s Adventures in Multidimensional Space” by Margaret Wilson. Jordan has attended intensives and trained with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Dance Theatre of Harlem, The Limon Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company Gaga winter intensive, Repertory Dance Theater winter intensive, and the Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival. While attending college, Jordan continued teaching at Laramie Dance Arts as well as at Whiting High School in Laramie, Wyoming. Upon graduating in May 2021, with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Psychology, Jordan joined Kim Robards Modern Dance Company in Denver, Colorado, as an apprentice for the Summer Intensive Company Project and performance. Jordan became a company member in the Fall of 2021. Jordan continues to dance as a company member and perform with Kim Robards Modern Dance and is excited to be back in the studio teaching and choreographing with Absolute Velocity!
