Michelle began her training at the Donna Miceli Dance Center in Tewksbury, MA. She trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical and modern for 15 years before graduating high school. Michelle was a soloist and a member of the Youth Dance Company which performed at art festivals, lecture demonstrations at schools, nursing homes and many community outreach programs throughout the Boston area. Michelle continued her dance training at The University of South Florida and at studios throughout Boston, MA. She has studied with legendary greats Gus Giordano, Eva Von Gencsy, Joe Tremaine, and countless industry leaders both in studio and at conventions. She performed professionally for The Body Language Dancers and Prometheus Dance Company before focusing all her energy and efforts on teaching. For over 36 years, Michelle has taught ballet, jazz, hip hop, children's tap, modern, lyrical, contemporary and fitness classes as well as directed pre-professional and competing companies at the Donna Miceli Dance Center in Lowell, MA, Allegro Dance Academy in Nashua, NH, The Studio Dance Company in Clearwater, FL, The Bridge Dance Complex/West Florida Dance Company in Largo, FL and at Elite Dance Academy in Broomfield, CO. Michelle also recently began teaching physically and mentally challenged adults and finds the work incredibly rewarding. During summers, Michelle travels back “home” to New England and teaches master classes and creates company competition choreography for studios in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Her love of dance and respect for proper technique has helped to develop dancers who are strong, passionate and technically proficient. Her students frequently win top honors and awards at competitions and receive scholarships from conventions and professional schools. Many of those students have gone on to perform for Disney, The Rockettes, Cirque de Soleil, and The Dizzy Feet Foundation. Some have been thrilled to dance on Broadway, television, film, and cruise ships. Michelle enjoys sharing her love of dance with any student. Whether it's a beginner or an advanced student, a 2-year-old or a 60-year-old, she loves to help those students look inside, find their passion, and let it show through the joyful movement of dance. Michelle brings an energetic, passionate, positive teaching style to her classes that assists students in making great strides in their technique, performance quality, and overall enjoyment of dance.
